(a) Meeta likes to ask strangers. Keeping this characteristic of her in mind, suggest two career options suitable for her.

2. Answer anybody of the next questions in about 40-60 words.
(b) Kumkum cuts her finger while checking out a knife during a drawer filled with spoons. What care will you give to stop the bleeding? What two precautions will you suggest her to not repeat suchi incidence
Ans- First aid:
1. First stop bleeding by applying Holi pressure with cotton
2. If it is a small cut apply Band-Aid and take TT injection
3. If it is a cut requiring stitches attend doctor immediately
4. If wall finger is cut take the cut finger and put in an ice pack and rush to hospital immediately and consult a micro vascular surgeon to reattach the finger.
Precautions:
Keep the equipment on right place.
All things must be in open area.

(b)Write four ways to stop water logging in your area. Name four diseases which could affect your community because of water logging.

Q4. Samira is in her second trimester of pregnancy. Whic two suggestions you will give for each of the following 
I. Her food 
II. Medical Checkups 
III. Exercise and rest 
IV. Preparation for the new baby
Ans- 1.Her food: Samira should take a well-balanced diet with protein; carbohydrates; minerals like iron and calcium, vitamins like folates, C, and D; omega-3 fatty acids; and other nutrients as per
the RDA. So she can take foods rich in these nutrients like lean meat; poultry' seafood; dairy products; vegetables like avocado, green bean; fruits; nuts; whole grains and fortified cereals, etc
2. Medical Checkups: Samira should have regular medical checkups as per doctor's advice with routine screening tests like ultrasound to watch baby's growth and glucose screening to see gestational diabetes.
3. Exercise and rest: Moderate exercise through walking and yoga with utmost carefulness. Ample rest must be taken along side meditation to calm the body and mind.
4. Preparation for the new baby: Can enroll in childbirth or maternity education classes, planning maternity leave, fixing nursery , learning baby skills and baby care

I. Washing towels by hand 
II. Removing curry stain from a silk sari

Ans - (i) Washing towels by hand Towels use a wooden beating stick with provide friction. Remember that this is often often done only on a clean, flat and pave . Spread the fabric on the bottom , apply soap then beat it with the stick, constantly changing the surface of the fabric with the other hand.
(ii) Removing curry stain from a silk sari Make a mild silk stain remover out of a few of tablespoons of either white vinegar or juice , mixed with a few of tablespoons of lukewarm water. Test the solution on alittle, inconspicuous area of the silk first, before dabbing the stain with it employing a clean, white cloth. don't rub the stain.
(iii) Washing and ironing a white cotton shirt
Washing : white clothes in soap/detergent solution. Apply extra soap on the heavily soiled areas and rub. Wash the sunshine weight and lightly soiled cotton fabrics by using knead and squeeze method and enormous and heavy clothes employing a stick. Rub
areas which are very dirty with hands or with a brush.
Ironing: Cotton clothes are ironed best once they're evenly damp. But if they're starched they have to dry completely before they're brought in. Sprinkle water evenly on them, role them tightly and leave them for a couple of time. Now open them one by one and iron with a hot iron. Leave them for a couple of time to dry before storing.
(iv) Tying a cloth for dyeing using binding or marbling method
Marbling: Take the fabric and crumble it to form a ball. Tie it with a thread at different areas, randomly. Then dye the material . Open it and dry. The dyed fabric will have a marble effect.
Binding: devour the material (Dupattas, table cloth or bed sheets) from one point and tie with a thread at intervals and dye it.

Q6. Sapna has just finished her senior secondary. Her father works during a factory and mother could also be a home maker. She has two younger brother studying in class VIII and V. Help Sapna to 
 1. Convince her father to construct a toilet reception (needs, advantages, benefits to community) 
2. Encourage her mother to use her skill of tie-n-dye profitably  
3. Prepare her brother (class VIII) for his exams after missing school because of long illness (confidence building, time management, study skills) 
4. Prepare a diet chart for her younger brother who frequently suffers from diarrhea (nutrients needed and ORS)
Ans - (i) Construct a toilet reception it maintains the cleanliness around the surroundings.it supports the Swach Bharat Abhiyan
(ii) Encourage her mother to use her skill of tie-n-dye profitably Artificial colour dye is typically used to colour the white hairs, to make it appear as if naturally black in colour. (other colour dyes are also very fashionable , as a way statement) But most of these dyes which are available into the market, contains ammonia and other harmful chemicals,which affects the scalp and even cause various skin diseases. That's why dyes are more or less harmful for us, we should always always avoid them the utmost amount we'll .
(iii) Prepare her brother (class VIII) for his exams after missing school because of long illness (confidence building, time management, study skills)

  • This is the time to manage a while so as that you're going to prepare well and score good marks in your board exams.
  • Try to solve as many papers as you'll.  
  • The more you practice, the better it'll be for you within the final exams.
  • Do leave and take a fresh breath within the garden every evening.
  • I mean play along side your friends, but an hour.
  • This time will never return . plan to make the only of it.

(iv) Prepare a diet chart for her younger brother who frequently suffers from diarrhea (nutrients needed and ORS)
