1. Answer anyone of the following questions in about 40-60 words.

(a) Explain the Hunting stage of Human Development.

Ans- Hunting and gathering societies. Societies that rely primarily or exclusively on hunting wild animals, fishing, and gathering wild fruits, berries, nuts, and vegetables to support their diet.

2. Answer anyone out of the following questions in about 40 to 60 words.

(b) How rain affects socio-cultural life in your community?

Ans- The rain effect by destroying the houses in rural areas it definitely make problems for the people who live in that house.

1. Heavy rains pose a threat to a community. For instance, heavy rains bring floods, storms, and droughts. This affects the society seriously as it may lead to loss of lives, property destruction, etc.

2. Heavy rains destruct social gatherings in most cases. For instance, when it's raining heavily, no meetings can take place.

3. Heavy rains hinder the growth of crops and this affects farmers.

3. Answer anyone of the following questions in about 40-60 words.

(a) “Constitution of India is federal in form but unitary in spirit,” Support the statement with two examples.

Ans- The constitution of India is neither purely federal nor purely unitary both. Similarly, B.N. Banerjee has said, "the constitution of India is federal in spirit". India is a federal constitution because the powers are divided into central and state governments. But it is the same at the time of emergency goes into the hands of the central government completely and now the state is under the center.

 4. Answer anyone of the following question in about 100-150 words.

(b) “Regionalism is considered as the greatest challenge to the national integration of India. But sometimes, this thinking is reasonable also”. Support the statement with any two suitable arguments.

Ans-

Introduction:

India has always been seen by our historians as a unique example of unity in diversity. In spite of regional, linguistic, religious, and ethnic differences dividing India into apparently irreconcilable social groups, we too have found India one and United 

Casteism:

Discrimination on the basis of caste and class is a major hurdle for the National Integration of India. The people engaged in weakening the unity of the country tried desperately to create divisions and rifts in the name of castes, creeds, and culture. They succeeded in creating mistrust among the Indians and in tearing the facade of unity.

Linguism:

India has multiple languages. Linguism is yet another major problem for National Integration. The Indian states have been divided on the basis of linguistic basis. The bad people took advantage of this. Even the people living in one province began feeling alienated from those in other provinces,

5. Answer anyone of the following questions in about 100-150 words.

(b) Identify any two problems which you feel are a hindrance in the path of free and fair elections And also suggest remedies.

Ans- The major challenges to free& fair elections are:

1. Use of money: -parties & candidates who are not sure of their victory, spend a large amount of money in bribes. Buying votes or by doing election camping {by spending a large amount of money forgetting mode of conduct} to dominate small political parties.

2. Criminals in politics:- In many parts of the country the candidates with criminal Records are able {succeed} in getting tickets from different political parties& may Even win by demolishing others.

3. Nepotism: - Some families trend to dominate political parties: & only give tickets To their {illiterate, not suitable) relatives. 

4.corrupt politicians: - Most of the candidates are corrupted. 

5.Need for good political competition: - Nowadays, politicians are not having good Spirit of political competition. To win they can kill, kidnap, bribe any of their Competitors.

6. Make anyone project out of the given below.

(a) “A woman with two children is working as a domestic help in a village. She wants to educate her children, but fails.” Visit the office of the Sarpanch of the village and get information regarding various programs and policies for free and compulsory education. On the basis of information collected from the office of the Sarpanch, write a report suggesting the ways to ensure the education of the children by the Sarpanch of the village.

Ans-

This is research done in 10 households in the Dandora estate within Nairobi and the result are as follows;

1. Within the infant age groups, there are more female babies than the male infants.

This is equivalent to a ratio of 2:1 for female infants to male infants,

2. Among the youth group, there is a same-sex ratio as the number of males and females are slightly the same thus lead to a ratio of 1:1.

3. Among the elderly people, there are more elderly women than elderly men,

This can be expressed in a ratio of 3:1, that is a ratio of elderly women to that of elderly men.
